Privacy and cookies

This page explains what personal data I collect through leggodante.com, for what purposes, and what rights you can exercise. It is provided under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”).
Data controller
The data controller is Matteo Cima, Bergamo, Italy. For any request concerning your personal data, write to info@leggodante.com.
What data I collect
Data you send me. The site has no contact form: email is the only channel. If you write to me, I process your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message, solely to reply to you and arrange lessons.
Browsing data. Only if you consent, the measurement tools described below collect information about your visit: pages viewed, duration, referrer, language, device and browser type, a truncated IP address and - for Microsoft Clarity - a recording of your interactions with the page (pointer movement, clicks, scrolling). If you decline, or if you make no choice at all, none of this data is collected.
Cookies
The site uses no profiling or advertising cookies.
If you visit from the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, no statistical cookie is set and no third-party server is contacted before you consent: the measurement scripts load only after you press “Accept”. The area you are visiting from is determined by two things: the country associated with your IP address, resolved at request time by the site's hosting provider (Netlify), and the timezone configured in your browser. Your IP address is not passed to the page and is not retained by me - it is used only to establish the country. If either signal points to Europe, or if neither can be determined, the banner is shown.
If you visit from a country whose law does not require prior consent, the measurement tools are enabled by default and you can switch them off at any time: . If you switch them off, the cookies already set are deleted.

ld-consent is kept in the browser's local storage and is strictly necessary to remember your decision: without it the banner would return on every page. It therefore requires no consent.
YouTube videos
Any videos on the site are not loaded automatically. You see a static preview instead, and until you select it no data is sent to YouTube or Google. When you choose to start the video it is loaded from the youtube-nocookie.com domain, and from that moment YouTube may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.
Legal basis
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for statistical cookies and third-party video. You may withdraw it at any time.
- Pre-contractual and contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) to answer your emails and arrange lessons.
Recipients and transfers outside the European Union
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States), acting as a processor under an agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Netlify processes the technical connection data - including your IP address - needed to deliver the pages and to determine the country described above.
Statistical data is processed by Google Ireland Limited and Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, which may transfer it to their US parent companies. Both groups are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, covered by the adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission on 10 July 2023, which is the basis for that transfer; any other transfer to the United States is covered by the safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR. Beyond the parties named here I do not share your data with anyone, and I do not publish it.
How long I keep data
- Emails and their contents: for as long as needed to handle your request, and in any case no longer than 24 months from our last contact.
- Statistical data: for the cookie durations listed above. Microsoft Clarity recordings are kept for 30 days; aggregated Google Analytics data for up to 14 months.
Your rights
At any time you may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing. You may also withdraw consent already given, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise these rights, write to info@leggodante.com.
If you believe the processing infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the authority of your country of residence.
Withdrawing or changing consent
You can change your choice whenever you like: . If you withdraw consent, the statistical cookies already set are deleted and the page reloads without the measurement tools.
Changes to this notice
If the tools used by the site change, I will update this page and, where necessary, ask for your consent again. The date at the top shows the last update.
